Raft Race at West Bay
Thursday, 25th July
Fun begins at 6:00pm for a 7:00pm start
Start and finish at Ire Pool on the River Brit (by the sluice gates)
Come and watch home made rafts race (and sink!!) down the River Brit.
The idea is to avoid sinking, capsizing, falling in, etc. The rafts and
participants are usually dressed up in comedy or other well known guises.
The RNLI Raft Race began at West Bay in the 1960s by Ernie Hicks.
