The West Bay webcam takes approximately seven minutes to complete a circular scan of the area. The camera is located at the Harbour Master's Office and zooms into certain points of interest. North of the camera is the old harbour, then panning to the east is Pier Terrace and East Cliff. Further round to the south is the new harbour, marina and entrance from the sea between East Pier and the Jurassic Pier. Finally, West Beach comes into view together with the Esplanade. The webcam began in 2004 by West Bay Websites with responsibility being transferred to Dorset Council in 2018.
