The first batch of photographs were supplied to us, courtesy of Arthur Watson (owner of West Bay's
Riverside Restaurant) and digitally mastered from the original glass plates by Martin Clunes.
Photographs are assumed to date between 1880 and 1900 and were probably taken by
Walter Stephens, an amateur photographer who lived at Pier Terrace around that time.

The second batch of photographs were supplied to us, courtesy of Des Vlietstra.
His grandfather, Wilfred Simeon Burt is believed to have taken them, circa 1909
The final batch of photographs were supplied to us, courtesy of Bridport Museum
