Ferdown Farm is a small sympathetically managed arable and stock farm of 130 acres, in the Mid-Wessex Environmentally Sensitive Area. 20- 25 The New Trafalgar Dispatch enters Dorset A re-enactment of the historic journey by Post Chaise from Falmouth to London in November 1805 by Lieutenant John Lapenotiere, Captain of HMS Pickle who carried Admiral Collingwood's dispatch to the admiralty giving the news of victory at Trafalgar and the death of Nelson. 20 The New Trafalgar Dispatch visits Lyme Regis The New Trafalgar Dispatch arrives at Lyme Regis at approx. 6.30pm to be welcomed by the High Sheriff of Dorset, Hon, Mrs James Townshend for presentation of the Dispatch to the Mayor of Lyme Regis. Lieutenant Lapenotiere will come ashore at the Cobb before boarding the Post Chaise.

21 Ironman UK Sherborne Castle, Sherborne. The Ironman competition returns to Sherborne - this time the FULL triathlon of 2.4m swim plus 112 mile cycle ride followed by a full 26.2 mile marathon. With approx. 1200 competitors taking part, this is a superb free spectacle.

The Dispatch then moves onto Burton Bradstock Church at approx. 3pm to be welcomed by Rear Admiral Gwyn Pritchard for presentation to the Chairman of the Parish council, Captain Michael Southgate.

22 New Trafalgar Dispatch visits Hardy’s Monument, Portesham & Portland This morning is devoted to Captain Thomas Masterman Hardy, captain of Nelson’s flagship the Victory. At approx. 10am Lt Lapenotiere will join the Lord Leiutenant of Dorset, Captain Michael Fulford-Dobson at the monument erected in Hardy’s honour. A short service at 10.15am will be conducted by the Bishop of Sherborne. The Dispatch will then visit Hardy’s home in Portesham at approx. 11.45am, to be welcomed by Deputy Lieutenant for Dorset Mrs Margaret Romanes for presentation of the Dispatch to the Chairman of the Parish Council. The St. Swithin’s Band from Bridport will be on parade. At approx. 5.50pm the Dispatch arrives at Portland, welcomed by Deputy Lieutenant for Dorset, Rear Admiral John Croydon, for a presentation of the Dispatch to the Portland Town Mayor at Pennsylvania Castle, followed by an historical sketch by the Royal Manor Theatre Company, This is followed by a tour of Portland.

24 New Trafalgar Dispatch arrives at Dorchester Dorchester Cricket Ground, Dorchester 11.45am. The New Trafalgar Dispatch arrives at Dorchester, the county town of Dorset, and Lieutenant Lapenotiere will be welcomed by the Lord Lieutenant of Dorset, Captain Michael Fulford-Dobson,CVO, KStJ, JP, Royal Navy, the Mayor of Dorchester, the Chair of the Dorset County Council. The welcome ceremony takes place at the Dorchester Cricket Ground where the Chairman of the County Council and the Mayor of Dorchester will be presented with copies of the Dispatch. A Trafalgar Way plaque will be unveiled and later inserted in Antelope Walk. The Durnovaria Silver Band and the Band of the Weymouth Sea Cadet Unit will be on parade.
