27 England Expects - A Lecture By Colin White Dorset
County Museum, High West Street, Dorchester, 6.30pm. As part of
Trafalgar celebration Colin White, The Deputy Director of the
Royal Naval Museum in Portsmouth, is coming to give lecture at the
Dorset County Museum. This special lecture tells the story of
Trafalgar from Nelson's point of veiw, culminating with the
briefing of his captains at Cardiz and Nelson's inspiring signal
'England Expects'.

Sherborne Museum, Sherborne. The Sherborne Missal is one of
the finest examples of medieval book painting and a major
masterpeice of English art. As part of the Sherborne Festival
2005 the Museum will be holding a 'Turning the Pages'
facility, which can, by wiping your hand across the 30' touch
screen, represent turning up to 38 pages of the Missal. The
colour, clarity, commentary and audio representations of monks
chanting and birdsong are impressive examples of award
winning, cutting edge technology.
